Dora’s Watermelon Pickles
Ingredients:
1 qt. white sugar
1 1/2 pt. strong vinegar
1/2 cup water
3-4 sticks cinnamon
1 tsp whole cloves
1 melon green rind cut into small pieces
Instruction:
Cover melon with water and cook till tender. Drain well.
Cook melon with other ingredients for 5 minutes or until clear and syrup is fairly thick. Put in melon in hot jars, add syrup and seal.
