I don’t know if anyone still reads or even checks in over here. Had to clean out cobwebs, a lot of dust (cough) and a few critters of the spammy variety before I decided to post just for shits and giggles.

Many changes have occurred for this dragon/phoenix and as usual, I have had to rise from my own ashes in the process.

Loss of friends along the way has dealt me a major blow, mentally and physically. My heart just doesn’t beat right these days because of a major gaping hole that is there, and it is of my own doing. I don’t think I will ever be right again until 1. I get a chance to make it right or 2. I get hard-hearted and stop caring so much about it (and I don’t see that happening in this lifetime).

I will always love and care for this person. I will always be here for this person whether I am wanted or not. I will always answer if they should ever have the want or need. And I am ready to kneel and tell them that I am sorry. My pride went out the window long ago and there is much to beg forgiveness for. I was wrong and I know it. Instead of telling you be happy and bask in the glow for as long as you can, I got mean and hateful. True friends do not do those things… intentionally. But still no excuse, even though this was truly not my intention. It was not until after the bomb fell, and the smoke cleared, that I realized what an ass I really was.

I will be posting again regularly, even if no one ever reads it, because I really need a friend… even if it is imaginary in this ghost town of a blog.

A tired and very dusty old bird.

Most of you already know that you can find me facebook’ing…. but someone mentioned that I (and some others) have pretty much stopped blogging. True, sort of.

Actually, I have been very busy trying to clean up the disaster aka… my basement AND clean up my dining room that had turned into the dump-it-all room. It was so bad in the dump-it-all room that one kid went in there and said… “Dang! I didn’t know there was a desk or table in here!” Seriously.

Once we get everything moved in the basement, we will move more stuff down there so we can repaint the ex-dump-it-all room, put down new carpet, put up a ceiling fan and start using it as it was intended. eh… maybe lol

I have also taken up making more and more jewelry. I majorly have the fever now. Now that I have figured out how to upload my Etsy notifications, I will post the new stuff as I get them finished.

I am still jobless and looking. I had to take a resume class as a requirement to keeping my unemployment this past week. I thought I knew everything there was to know about them… soooo glad I took the class! I have some major changes to make to mine… and to the one I have on Monster.com. (I did get hit up by a legitimate headhunter and interviewed… but they went with someone with a bit more experience than I have. Maybe next time.)

Antique Lead Crystal Chandelier Bead Ring Wrapped in Sterling Silver

This antique lead crystal bead came out of the original Marriott Hotel main chandelier in downtown Atlanta before the building was torn down. The bead is more than 100 yrs old.

The ring is hand braided sterling silver with the bead nestled in a partial birds nest wrap. It is a size 8.

at wire wrapping. I have a LONG way to go… but it is not too bad and it all was my own idea with no pattern to go by!

Details are natural Turquoise beads threaded with 20 gauge square half hard wire and then wire wrapped to give it stability.

I have been going through an emotional rollercoaster. I feel useless and noncontributing. I have worked almost my whole life and have never had trouble finding a job, but I was also not always 53 and struggling with health issues. I need to lose weight and I need gentle shoves to keep me on track. I need to quit smoking and I need to just turn everything around.

I seem to stay nervous and that has made my face turn into a teenagerish nightmare. I even start to panick when I leave the house to do simple chores. I want to cry and can’t seem to really let it out… and to top off things… I can’t really bring myself to talk about it to anyone because I know then I will let go the tears and I honestly am not sure I want to.

My beautiful pup looks like she has mange as she appears to be allergic to fleas and none of the things I have tried keep them at bay.  I was gonna post a new video of her but to be honest, I don’t want anyone to see her this way. Almost all of her back and rearend is bald. I have tried hot spot meds and special shampoos. Flea and tick spray and even the kind that goes on her skin… all to no avail. I even coated her down with Avons Skin So Soft. None of it works. Next I am going to try natural garlic oil in her food and see if that helps any. If anyone has any homeopathic cures… I am ready to try them. I sure as hell do not need the pound trying to take her because they think she is mistreated or neglected because she looks mangy. Sigh.

As you may have guessed I still have not found a job. What a nightmare I had at the local job center. At least I managed to stay long enough to get registered for unemployment, but I have still not received anything from the gov saying I qualified. grrrrr At least I can file each week from home and can avoid the stench of that awful place for at least a little while.

I have undertaken a new hobby in my spare time and I hope that it will be a semi-money maker. I am going to be designing and making my own jewelry that I will be placing for sale on etsy.com. I have all my tools in except a few and my wire still has not come in the mail.  The items I will be making will be free form wire wrapped rings, pendants and earings with precious and semi-precious stones. My prices will be very affordable and I hope that you will take a gander at them when I finally get my first few pieces done and posted. I will also post about them here, so you will know when any are placed up for sale.

I am also just a bit peeved at a certain male member of this blog whom, although I know he is busy, seems to not be able to take time out for his always faithful friends here and that includes me. Why should I have to always be the one that initiates the call or contact? My feelings are hurt over this just a bit and I know I will defintely lose it when we finally get a real chance to talk… maybe it is what I need to kick my ass back into gear… but I refuse to be the initiater this time… so you, yes, YOU dear Mr. Shannon, know what you need to do… *gives you the arched eyebrow dragony side look* hmmmmmph (stomps foot for added drama)

Well, I miss me too. Not having a job has put me in a very lost state. We have gotten a lot done around the house: like repairing 2 ceiling fans and replacing one and putting on in the kitchen (which we did not have before). We also repaired the switch to the attic fan and put in the garden (kinda late, but it is in and doing well). We planted a pomegranite bush, got the lawn mower fixed and the lawn mowed. Stuff has been trimmed around the house and the black pine had to be trimmed a shade so the mail truck could drive under it without it scraping the top.

One of the boys in the ‘hood brought me 2 more japanese red maples (I have one that is about 20 ft) and I replanted all my plants I brought home from work, so they are all looking much healthier.

We are still waiting on test grades to come back before I can take the youngin to get his learners… no pass, no learners. (He is not a happy camper either… lol but he will live.

The pup turned 6 mos old yesterday and she is getting so big. I will try to remember to post pics later this week.

My pc is now fixed and back up to full tilt. I just love my repair guys… I know I have said it before, but they really are gems. New ethernet card and a new DVD burner with repair costs was only 117.00. Cam’t beat that with a yard stick!!
