I want to wish all of those who serve and those who have given of their lives to keep us free at home, a safe Memorial Day. Today is a day to remember those who stool and gave their lives for us on the battle grounds around the world, in the past and the present. This family remembers and this family prays for those who are still out there standing for us now. Standing for those who stood for us with the Patriot Guard is a rewarding experience that one should take when given the oportunity. I have been to 2 events and they will be forever etched in my mind.

In other news:

Our lovely day has been touched by the hand of a man with a back hoe… Can you imagine waking up to no water in the house? Immediate bodily functions aside… today is a day when most of your plans revolve around water of some kind. The water main broke early this morning and it is now almost 3pm. I think I will head to work… and get some work done there. At least there is water there! lol :lol:

For me anyways. Work has been heaven and hell but I am surviving. I just wanted to take a few moments to wish everyone a safe holiday and to let you know that I have added another chapter to the book. I have found that writing takes me away from the insanities that I am dealing with on a daily basis… that is when I am not in a major writers block.

You are all on my mind and in my heart. So stay safe and enjoy yourselves. As the song goes… Don’t worry, Be happy!

Thirteen New Year Wishes

1. Carlo home safe and sound from Iraq.

2. My family’s good health to continue and those that are sick; swift recoveries.

3. For my blog friends to get their wishes.

4. For the house guest to recover from his mishap and to move on with his life. He has had enough bad things happen.

5. To get the things in my house that are broken finally repaired.

6. To get the Cookbook finished and out there for the sales to begin.

7. For my son to finally realise that school is fun and to make good grades.

8. To find happiness within myself so I can move on to better things.

9. To lose the weight… and to find the strength to do it.

10. To finally quit smoking for good.

11. To learn to throw things away and to learn how not to be a pack rat.
