Well, this is not  about “The Doors” but about shopping for new front doors for our house. There will be enough dough left from the roof repair to do some small things to the house. We picked new doors as one of those things. There is a small problem though… our house was built in 74 and does not meet the new standards for door width. We have french style doors and the standard for a single door is either 3o or 36. Our doors are 30.5 wide… so they will have to do some fenagaling (sp) to get the new ones to fit right… but I have faith in the construction guys.

Here is what I picked for the doors… but we are not sure they will have them in 30 width… the Home Depot guy is trying to find us some. What do you think?

Of course, they will have to custom make these into french style doors and then stain them to match the house… but aren’t they pretty?  If they cannot find these in a 30 inch then I OK’ed the style that has the half cresent windows at the top… also very nice.

The new doors won’t be installed until after the holidays but it is still a nice surprise and early x-mas present!

OH! I forgot to show you the finished roof, but it will have to wait until I can get a sunny day picture so you can get the full effect. Remind me, K?
