My hair dresser hates me…

Nothing like going to your local hair cuttery and telling them you want a new look, and it is up to them to decide what to do… within limits.
My requirements:
No helmet hair (The Sally Fields look from Steel Magnolias is not for me)
Not real short (Been there, done that, bought the t-shirt)
No old lady hairdo (even tho I am lol)
Wash and go is always best (at least for me)
No styling issues (I hate having to mess with the hair)
Possible perm… we didn’t go there
My gray is really starting to show up, but I tell everyone it is natural blonde highlights. At least it is white and not that steel gray color. I told the stylist that it was up to her to give me a new look. She panicked just a little and kindly asked me to look through a book and pick something that made me feel comfortable. I complied and found something that I thought would be cute. No styling, wash and go, shorter for the summer and no helmet hair!
With a certain day coming up… I felt the need to change at least something about me. Maybe it was my own inner child wanting to come out, or just an inner need to fight the clock… you know the one… that says you will be older whether you like it or not.
My nerves played on me… poor girl had to stop 3 times to let me make the nervous nellie potty run. I have never truly felt comfortable letting anyone cut my hair. My mother can attest to that fact. I can remember as a preteen spilling tons of tears anytime anyone came near me with a pair of shears. I can remember finally putting my foot down after one particular cut that no one would ever cut my hair again… I was told I was getting a trim, and the lady accidently (more times than I can count) messed it up and got it crooked. Anyways… it was a set up and I walked out with a pixie… ugh!!!
At least at my age I can honestly be grateful for some of the things that usually plague women… no mustache, my gray is white, not as many wrinkles as some I have seen that are younger than me, and I still have my health. Oh, I have the usual joint pains and my weight plays on my knees and ankles… but I am rather healthy and no major issues.
Anywho… the new style is sort of a Meg Ryan messy hair look, just longer. It just touches my collar in the back. It is away from my face and the natural curl (that has suddenly come back with the gray) takes care of the rest. Maybe when I can get the image uploader to work… I will post the new look… maybe.

There is nothing wrong with looking like you feel, eb it hairdo or clothes.
When your looks, compliment your inner beauty, then those looking at you are the winners and their smiles, will only make you feel even better.
Picture please…..pretty please with jam on it??

W, I have seen pictures of you with long flowing hair. As pretty as you are, however your hair is cut wouldn’t matter. You’d make it look great! ( C is training me right
)
Hmmm, well all I have to say is Meg Ryan is still as sexy as ever, so same applies! Happy Day to you!
