My apologies

I swore I wouldn’t do this, but the spammers are having a field day with my Word Press blog. I am deleting over 1000 spam comments a day and approximately 5 to 10 spam track backs.
I have had to add 2 more spam protectors to my blog. The first is the only one you will see. It is a simple math question that you must answer before the blog will accept your comments. The second one runs behind the scenes and runs adjacent to the one I already had running. That one is no longer enough as the spammers have gotten smarter. I may have to add one more… but I am hoping that these two new additions are enough.
If you can’t leave a comment, please e-mail me and let me know. There is one other way around it… and that is to use the register option on the side bar.
Update: I ended up having to add one more behind the scenes spam blocker. Now older posts will have the comments closed. It appears that the spammers love to hit us up on old posts that we never look at anymore. Makes no sense… LOL. All is working well. If you are a WP user and want to know my secret to stopping spam… leave a comment and I will send you an e-mail on what to use.
Update Update: Great news! Only 1 comment slipped past my new defense system in 4.5 hours! A little more tweaking has been done and I think I may have gotten the right formula! Wahooooooo!
On to other news:
It is hotter than hades in this house! We are in a serious drought here in GA. Please join me in praying for rain. We are getting pop-up storms but even those keep missing us. As you have probably guess we are in our second year with no AC. He promises to have it repaired… but I was ready for that a month ago!
The garden does not seem to be suffering too badly. The plastic cover keeps the earth moist underneath it. I will post update pictures soon. 
That is all I have for now. I am melting away here… so gonna go stick my feet in some cold water and take a power nap. Hugsssss!

Spam sucks, so a little added security to block the crap that people are sending is not a problem…
Wish I had more spam blocker on my email….get sometimes 10+ pages daily on my Bellsouth. Have to go on web to delete daily and one page at a time. It sure gets old. Maybe time to change my email address??
The spam blogger that Blogger uses seems to work okay; I went from lots of spam pre-blocker, to none since. I think this set up should work well for you as well.
I guess I left WP just in time. he only spam problem I ever had with WP was the occasional legit comment getting through.
But…but…math is hard…
