My boss just returned from a stay in St. Lucia and he brought me back a local basket of spices. Included are a cocoa stick, 2 hazel nuts, masala, cummin, saffron, cinnamon, paprika and what is pictured above. It looks like a bark but does not smell like cinnamon. Can you help us identify what this could be?
