Circles of Prayer do work…

It is time once again to thank all of you for your prayers for Raven, her mom Rose and for Kelli. They wanted me to thank you for all the prayers you have so freely given them in the last weeks while Raven has undergone radical radiation and chemotherapy treatments. I could say the words, but I truly believe that Kelli said it best herself:

Checked the site once I got here… I am absolutely overwhelmed! You know (I’m sure) how much I truly appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers. I am amazed at how far away they are coming from, too! PLEASE stress to everyone (if possible) that their sentiments have been a factor in my ability to cope with all of this; it reminds me just how blessed I truly am. I haven’t

    really

been overwhelmed yet, but there have been quite a few times that everything has gotten to me a bit. The support that we have gotten from people that we don’t even know brings me to my knees. We’re gonna be okay!!! Hell, better than ever!!!!

Love You!!!!

Kelli

With that said I need to once again ask for your prayers for another young man going through his own radiation treatments. His name is Sean and he is a friend of Sophmom’s son. You can find her post here: Search, Hope and Sadness.

While we are adding folks to the circle, please let me add Miss Vickie who is always reaching out to folks for others and never for herself. She now is undergoing treatment for her own ailment: Missy, Vickie’s term for MLS. This loving person really could use the power of prayer to a quick recovery and an easy time during her treatments. We love you Vickie!

Prayers do work… All you have to do is try.

  1. Me and prayin’ haven’t exactly been on speaking terms here of late, but I’ll certainly put up some for Vickie and all…

  2. Prayers continue for Raven and Vickie as both are on the prayer lists at my church and my work church. With Sean’s escalated seriousness, I spread the word to other churches as well. When last rites are administered and a young man fights it brings things into perspective in a big way.

Take care of you, Phoenix, and my prayers continue for Carlo as well. :)

  3. Prayers coming your way again from KAYLAs auntie. All the prayers she has recieved through this circle of Prayer have certainly made a differance. She has had a very bad time with her chemo and struggled to recover from surgery. Now she is coming to the end of her chemo and looking towards her future. I know the power of prayer. I have seen it work miracles. And so will your family!

  4. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
    Thank you.
    Hugs

  5. Adding my thoughts.

  6. Raven, Sean, Kayla, Ms. Vickie and her mom are all in my prayers, and thank you so much W for keeping the prayer chain going. Yes, Amen to the power of prayer!

  7. I want to thank you, Phoenix, so much for including Sean in your Circle of Prayer. You are wonderful. I read down some and see that today was supposed to be Raven’s last radiation treatment. I hope it went well and that she is finished with that part of her treatment.

As far as I know there is no change today in Sean’s condition. I do know that they thought they had lost him on Sunday and that he had gotten so sick they had stopped trying to treat his cancer, and that has changed. He’s being given a new round of a different kind of chemotherapy.

I know that we both comment at Monica’s and at Gray Biker’s. I will come and see you more often and continue to feel this amazing gratitude to you, all of you, for the enormous support during this time. You know how it feels. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

  8. As I read this post and your words I cried—I have been crying often these days. In the past tears came seldom and usually only when I was angry or hurt.

These days tears come for so many other emotions the words you spoke of me humbles me—Wendy, thank you.
You are a very special person and I am thankful our paths crossed here.

  9. I just saw this link over at Brians. I’m pryin’ here too.
