Quick Notes

Football season is over for the youngin this year. They gave it the best shot they could but the opposing team was just too strong. They were beaten 38-0. This team has two boys that are very tall and very fast and they played defense and offense. We didn’t have a chance against them, but at least they tried. The coaches were very proud of them.

We (the parents) took all the boys to the local mexican restaurant. We kept the wait staff hoping. We probably made a record night for them. The food was great and the boys got to spend a bit more time as a team. Uniform turn in is tomorrow and to be honest I am not sad to see it go for this year. lol!

It was colder than a witches tit out there Sat evening. It rained, mixed with some ice and then the wind started when the rain quit. I was a walking human popcicle when we left and my left leg hurt like all get out. (I broke it when I was 13.) 3 Advil, a warm bed and I was out for the night after the good food intake.

Went back to my Aunts Sunday. We listed about 60 CD’s and then met my other Aunt at a buffet down towards my house. I went home from there. Got home just after dark. I am getting to where I see things that aren’t there at night and it gets a bit scary. Shadows become little critters in the road and green lights blind me somewhat. Not sure why… but it is safer for others if I don’t do much driving at night. Maybe I am going through some kind of eye thing. Will find out at my next check up.

The difference a week makes in the folage! Most of the leaves fell off the trees with the front that came through. Of course my batteries died in my camera and I didn’t get pictures. Maybe next time. :)

How was your weekend?

That wonderful burst of color is but a flash. Winter brings it’s own beauty, too.
