Here are a couple of the picture moments the youngin and I had last Sunday while driving up to Dahlonega. The you can see why they call them the Smokey Mountains!! (They are the foothills but the effect is the same.)

Those colors beat the aspen of the Rockies, hands down.
Actually, for early November the colors in these pictures are still good in north GA. Peak colors are mid-October. GREAT PICS!!! Thanks for posting.
