Alive and OK :)

It has been a busy 4 days but I am back and doing fine. Not having internet is the only thing that has been getting to me, but this too shall pass. :P

Thursday was spent getting the final details done on the new car. Payments are reasonable and affordable. I don’t know what fairy or angel was watching over me last week but Thank You!

Friday the youngin and I went to the movies. He saw Flyboys and I watched Fearless. I fully recommend this movie… it is based on a true story and the kleenex factor is just a small packet. :) Youngin said he loved the movie he saw (which was also based on a true story). The youngin also had a birthday party to go to so when we went and picked him up we went out to eat at Buffalo’s for a late dinner and it was a early night to bed for all of us.

The youngins football team kicked patootie again! 28 – 8. 8th Grade team also won their game. It makes for a long day when you are there to support your son’s team and then have to work the concessions for the next game. We left home at 9:15 am and I left at 3pm.

I went to a friends to visit and they insisted on feeding me. Insist away! I like being fawned over every once in a while. Came home to a grouchy old man so it was nice to relax for at least a little while. I brought home fried chicken for the boys and that made them happy.

Sunday was just a relax day. I came to work for a little while and brought the youngin with me and put him to work sorting orders. The WH stayed home and watched football and later grilled us some steaks (which he burned, but they were still good).

Tonight brings more football practice for the youngin, which translates into sitting in my car reading while I wait. Just so much fun! lol

How was your weekend?

I’m glad you got that “relax day” in there.

Let hi grouch! He is just jealous that you are getting a life.

The more you go out, the better you will feel; the better you feel, the more you will want to go out. Good for you.

I am “alive and OK” in Iraq, and I hope to have a list of some things that we can’t get, but we have access to the internet and to the PX, so we won’t need too much.

What’s a weekend? For us, every day is “Groundhog Day”.
