Last minute stuff

Well, this will be my last post before I pack up my computer. I am in the middle of last minute cleaning, final laundry, cramming all the little bits and pieces into my bags, and trying to not let my nerves get the best of me.

You see, I don’t like moving. I never have. I think that it has to do with me not liking change that much, but I have gotten over most of that after 18 years in the Army. It’s the MOVING part that bothers me. The ironic part is that it’s not where I’m going, or when I’m going, it’s the GOING. Ah, well.

My list of things left to do:
1. Laundry
2. Finish packing
3. Take last of the stuff to the storage area
4. Take my Army equipment to the office
5. Take my bike to my buddy’s house
6. Wipe down counters, sinks, etc.
7. Mop floors
8. Vacuum
9. Try to sleep tonight

Not a long list, but it’s what I have left to do. The funny part is that I thought that I had more than that, but, just typing it out has settled me down (a little).

I have a friend at Fort Sill who read my blog while he was in Iraq and I made sure he knew my prayers were out there for him. Please know our prayers are with you and your unit. Thank you again for your service.

may God bless you and keep you. I am the wife of an ex-ARMY soldier, and a teacher. I try to instill a sense of loyalty into my kids daily. We are always looking for a soldier to sponsor, who we can write to and send items to. If you would be interested, please let me know as we have not chosen our soldier for this year. I will be praying for you and your family regardless, and hope that time passes quickly before you are with them again!
    God Speed!
