The neice and nephew should be home today. Her lawyer finally got them a hearing yesterday morning and bond was set at 50k each. His mother and sister each made a property bond for them, so they should be out this morning. WH’s SIL is also placing their house under contract so that it can’t be siezed. (Ya know, the WH and his family may be a-holes at times {WH almost all the time}, but when it comes to a crisis they stick together like glue and are there for you, no matter what.)
The safe has been removed from the property so that it cannot be tampered with. The lawyer has placed some importance on this and asked the daughter to remove it and take it to her house until he can retrieve it from her. (We told her not to touch it with her hands and if she absolutely had to physically touch it to have on rubber gloves to that it is not compromised anymore than it already is.)
If they go home and stay there, we might ride up and take them some food. They also know that our house is their house and they are welcome to stay as long as needed. I know she needs to get back to work… but I would not blame her at all if she did not go back until next week. I think some serious mental recovery time is needed here.

This is great news at last, I know it gives you some relief which you so needed, You had so much on you as if you needed any more than you were dealing with.
