I have decided to not do the post that I was working on. It was way too controversial a subject. Carlo and I talked at length about it and we both agreed to disagree in the end. I apologize for the delays but I felt a need to rant on a subject that needs to be avoided by me like the plague. Like “religion and politics” as Grey Biker said to me earlier, some subjects can cause too much angst among us who are passionate about certain things. With me it is our rights; with others it can be any number of things.
So I will put that post in the trash can where it needs to stay.
The big bosses from overseas were in town this last week. Much good came from it for a change. With the exception of me have a tummy ache for three days, I came away with smiles and grins. I was praised for all the hard work I put in over the holidays. I helped a co-worker catch up invoicing and orders slowed down.
I saved us from losing a good customer… had a load worked and shipped from our warehouse in Chicago to Rochester, NY in less than 24 hours. Still patting myself on the back for that one. Was not an easy one to pull off and I had help from the best trucking company in the southeast… add in some great help from our warehouse and all is well in frozen pastry land.
I was also given a raise!! I needed that to help with the bills. Of course the WH had to rant on about it. I asked him why he had to bring down my excitement. He had no answer. sigh… oh well. I got it and that is all that matters, right?
