Once Upon A Time…

There was a blogger who was taken in by a con artist… not the kind who steals your money, but the kind who steals your heart. This kind takes your heart with promises and then once they have it they tear it into shreds and toss it away.

During my “captivity” I wrote some poetry to this con artist. You will be the first to read it since my release into freedom. It has been almost a year since then and I am just now getting over the pain of this “relationship”. When I give my heart it is given in totality.

To give you the shortest background possible… I was taken in by a woman pretending to be male and a widower with three small children; all girls. They were supposedly 3, 5 and 7 years old. The youngest was supposedly born while his/her wife died. I was put through mental living hell by this person. Carlo was my saving grace during this period and for that I will be forever grateful.

Frustration

Frustration has led me here,
To a place I find too austere,
My demeanor is now leery,
My heart now worn and weary.
I felt avoided like a plague,
Answers were short and vague,
I bared my soul for naught,
The lies left me distraught.
All I wanted was to smile,
Now even that seems not worthwhile,
I’ve relinquished all I cared about,
Constantly alone now, and without,
I fear becoming cynical,
Fearing to trust, almost clinical,
Life should not be observed,
I do not want to be reserved.
Understand me, loud and clear,
I refuse to shed another tear,
I will not allow any more hurt,
Never again my heart to desert,
Walls are up and gauntlet thrown,
My life I will no longer postpone,
People like you will face God’s wrath,
And then Satan will choose your path.

Truth
Reliance
Understanding
Security
Tangibility

Angel Eyes

Silky blonde tresses flowing,
Three tiny pink ribbons in a row,
Bright, beautiful faces glowing,
Oh! What joy to watch them grow!
Blue eyes turned towards life’s reward,
An extra tug for faith upon your hand,
Her plea can never be ignored,
Maybe this time she will understand.
“Can Mommy see us from up there?”
“Oh Yes! My dear sweet little one!
She watches you always, never despair,
She will be with us until this life is done.”
Sisters hug each other and daddy too,
He knows he will never be alone in life,
He has Gods hand to pull him through,
Three daughters and a loving angel wife.

More poetry to come tomorrow, thanks all for just being you!
