| Thirteen Things about PHOENIX
1. My Diet is going well. I am down now a total of 8 lbs but I refuse to go look again for another week. The ups and downs drive me nuts! 2. Have you participated in Leanne’s pumpkin contest yet? Me neither! Maybe this Friday 3. Photo Contest! Don’t forget to send me your funny baby or toddler pictures! So far we have 4 entries! 4. Spent the last three days with a sick son. He has a sinus infection like I do and it has been bothering him for almost 3 weeks now. 5. Thank God that I have a great pharmacist! My son’s doctor wrote him a prescription for an antibiotic. The problem? He is allergic to penicillin! The pharmacist caught it (why the doctor didn’t is beyond me) and I have been berating myself for not asking while at the doctors office. They gave him something this time that she said would be ok, but he is on watch at the school. 6. My workload at work has been a bear. No time to do anything but send out orders all day and my mornings are spent putting out fires all (late deliveries, shortages, etc.) over the US. I am tired, so very tired. 7. I made my famous chili last night. Gonna have to place a sign on my door today… “Enter at your own risk!” 8. Freeze warnings last night. I like cooler weather, but the freezing of the windshields and having to defrost them before work is for the birds! 9. I missed my friend “GC” so much that I sent him just one line on Y! chat; very unusual for me to be so non-chatty with his offlines. “I miss you.” I was afraid of I said more I would get too emotional! LOL He must have felt it because not 10 mins later there he was! I think I need to do that more often! 10. My cell phone is taking calls in but not allowing me to call or text out. This is what I get for not paying the bill on time. In the old days they used to just turn you off! At least my son can reach me. (Thanks to those who have tried to text and call. Makes me feel good that you tried! 11. My family is going to their annual retreat up in the mountains to a cabin they have rented every year for the last 5 years running. I may be up there one day this weekend to visit. It will be nice to see them all again! 12. Need to try to find time this weekend to go see the baby again. Mom, dad and son are all doing great! 13. More fix-it and repair it this weekend too. Along with doing the laundry and lugging it outside to dry on the line I will be pretty busy! Links to other Thursday Thirteens! 1.
