Prayers Needed

As you all know I was just in Florida to visit with my parents and family. I just received word today that my mother will be going into surgery tomorrow for a fusion on her neck. The last time she had this done there were complications with it. She is not worried in the least, but you know how us kids can be… we worry and I am a worrier by nature.

We thought this would not be happening until next month but tomorrow was the only day free for weeks and so she told them ok.

Prayers go along way… and she needs all she can get. Thanks and bless all of you.

Update:

Mom went into surgery at noon and came ok at 3:30. She is comfortable and sleeping.

From my Aunt:

Her Doctor has a wonderful bedside manner and is certainly professional and astute ( a blessing in a sometimes distracted profession). He successfully reduced and aligned the neck deformity as much as possible and it is now safely away from the spinal cord and stabilized with metal clamps and bone graft.

Miracle of modern medicine…if all goes well, she may be home in a couple days.

I can remember a time not too long ago when people were not even turned for a week til grafting was solidly in place.

Thanks to all of you that placed her in your prayers.
