My best friend is now incommunicado, well almost that way. His internet and phone line has been disconnected and I also feel that way. There has not been a day that has gone by in months that we have not spoken via phone or Y! IM. I am sure that Gidget is going through the same thing. The only way he can be reached right now is by a cell phone that he will give away to a friend on Saturday when he flies back to the states.
Once he reaches his destination, who knows when we will hear from him again. He has many things to attend to right off the bat. I hope the first fresh face he sees is his son. I know the hugs on that boy will be long and full of love. He has not seen him now in months; far too long for a daddy that loves him as much as Carlo does.
Carlo has to leave behind friends. This has caused him much angst. Add on top of that the anxiety of packing up and going to a new post. I have felt the quiet in him. He is a strong man and he will get through this. He will have time to heal the small wounds this move has brought about.
I wish for him a safe, uneventful trip with a fresh, small face to hug at the end. We will all still be here when he gets back online. He is never away from us… just incommunicado.
