His Phoenix

Well, I miss me too. Not having a job has put me in a very lost state. We have gotten a lot done around the house: like repairing 2 ceiling fans and replacing one and putting on in the kitchen (which we did not have before). We also repaired the switch to the attic fan and put in the garden (kinda late, but it is in and doing well). We planted a pomegranite bush, got the lawn mower fixed and the lawn mowed. Stuff has been trimmed around the house and the black pine had to be trimmed a shade so the mail truck could drive under it without it scraping the top.

One of the boys in the ‘hood brought me 2 more japanese red maples (I have one that is about 20 ft) and I replanted all my plants I brought home from work, so they are all looking much healthier.

We are still waiting on test grades to come back before I can take the youngin to get his learners… no pass, no learners. (He is not a happy camper either… lol but he will live.

The pup turned 6 mos old yesterday and she is getting so big. I will try to remember to post pics later this week.

My pc is now fixed and back up to full tilt. I just love my repair guys… I know I have said it before, but they really are gems. New ethernet card and a new DVD burner with repair costs was only 117.00. Cam’t beat that with a yard stick!!

Anywho… that is my update for the last few weeks… how have you been?

but barely. Got my stupid cold back and lost my ethernet card on my regular pc. I am typing this on an ancient laptop that can barely process the net… much less any real sites I might want to visit. I have to give it props tho… it took the IE upgrade like a champ and didn’t shut itself down a gazillion times before it was completed. It actually did the whole upgrade with no problems… now if I could just get a faster processor… I would have a decent extra ‘puter.

Just wanted to let you know that I am still here and reading you when it will let me. Hugs!!! (I should have a new ethernet card by next payday. I am ticked tho… because I can’t find a modem with USB connection… seems they are ‘outdated’. sigh….)

service lockdown when your hosting service goes down. I had to check another hosted blog just to make sure… but we are back up and running.

Not much excitement down here in the southern states, but we are getting rain and Lake Lanier is only 5 ft from full pool… after being the lowest that I have ever seen… it is great to see water in that lake again.

Lets see, my week went by quickly… forgot what day it was and I was disappointed with Idol. Slept in late and enjoyed myself for a change. Haven’t turned on the air yet and have been enjoying the puppy and her antics.

Did you watch Idol tonight? Man… if Adam doesn’t win this… I quit watching. Period.

Chris is good… just not as good as Adam. I could care less about his sexual orientations. He has a set of pipes to die for and he isn’t afraid to belt a tune out. He has taken risks and they have paid off. I will be first in line for his first CD and all that follow. He truly is an American Idol.

and it is going down to 39 tonight.

I call it a ride because it had it’s ups and downs but it was fun. The movers finished at 4 and that was it.

I will miss that job more than I can put into words but now it is time to move on and find the next (hopefully fun) chapter in my life.

Boy, it feels weird to not be worried about getting up on time. lol

Moving day for the company and before it is over I will end up being a blubbering, snotty mess. My cold is now in full bloom with me running a fever on and off for the last two days…

Yesterday was our goodbye lunch at a local eatery. I held it together then… because the public eye tends to make me more self conscious… but today it will be just the guys and the movers.
